Further Than I Thought

This is a 16 x 24 acrylic on canvas panel titled “Further Than I thought”. The name comes from an experience I have every time I spend the night at the beach, Inevitably, no matter how pleasant the company, I strike out alone to ingest whatever energy I can from the crashing waves. The same thing happens every time. I start to relax. I start to enjoy. My spirit starts to re-charge. Then I start to get tired, or thirsty, or hungry. That’s when I turn back for the hotel. That’s when I say to myself, “Oh. Further than I thought”. It happens every time. It’s ALWAYS worth it.
